W/WW Maintenance:

The Utilities office is now accepting applications for the position of W/WW Maintenance. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can perform a variety of semi-skilled manual labor duties. Starting salary is $19.00 and goes up depending on your skills. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Colorado drivers license and must be able to pass a drug test. Part time Climbing Wall Instructor:

Perform a variety of instructional duties at the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center (CRCC) climbing wall, including teaching climbing-related skills and proper use of common climbing equipment to public climbing wall users of all ages. Provide climbing wall safety orientations, bouldering, top-rope belay, and lead climbing/belaying certifications, and provide information about the wall to public visitors. Regularly organize and inspect climbing equipment and assist other CRCC staff and routesetters in cleaning and maintaining the wall and climbing area.  

Position hours vary and potentially involves working normal working hours, mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays, depending upon the specific need.  Carbondale Recreation and Community Center hours to be covered are as follows: M-F, 6am to 9pm, Saturday 8am-5pm, Sunday 10-5pm.  Additional hours may be required depending on department needs. Maximum 30 hours/week.
