Building Official | Job Description
The Town of Carbondale is currently seeking a full time Building Official. This position supervises and administers all functions of the Building Department and Code Enforcement including plan review of all building permit applications, field inspections of construction in progress, notices to correct code violations and stop work orders as necessary, final building inspections and issues certificates of occupancy, preparation of energy and other amendments to Town building codes, and working with developers, contractors, and the general public to ensure compliance with adopted building and zoning regulations of the Town. CURRENT Commercial and Residential Inspector and Plan Review ICC certifications required. Generous benefit package and competitive wages – exempt annual salary range of $101,000 to $151,000 depending on qualifications.

Board and Commissions Clerk | Job Description
The Town of Carbondale is currently seeking a part-time Board and Commissions Clerk. This position performs administrative duties in support of various Town Advisory Boards and Commissions as well as assisting the Town Clerk when requested. Non-exempt hourly wage of $21.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on qualifications.

Ditch Irrigation Specialist
The Town of Carbondale Utility office is accepting applications for a Ditch Irrigation Specialist. This  is a seasonal/part time  position to assist our Utility Department with the general maintenance and use of the ditch irrigation system. This position performs a wide variety of field operations including routine upkeep on all irrigations ditches and maintaining water levels. Paperwork includes recording ditch levels daily.

All work is outside and in all kinds of weather conditions.  No special skills or experience needed, we will train. Must be 18 yrs of age, have a valid Colorado drivers license, must pass a drug screen & online integrity test.
You will need to have a good rapport with the citizens of Carbondale, you will be working with the public on a daily basis.
Work hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Starting pay will be  $24.00

Police Services Technician – Evidence Custodian Technician

The Town of Carbondale Police Department is seeking applications for the Police Services Technician – Evidence Custodian Technician position. The position operates emergency communication console to receive calls and dispatch equipment and personnel to provide assistance to citizens in the areas of police, fire, and rescue. Additionally, this position processes and maintains records, reports, and files for the Police Department under the supervision of the Police Records Manager/Executive Assistant. 

This position requires the Police Service Technician/Evidence Custodian to maintain custody, control, and integrity of all processed evidence. Additionally, this position intakes, catalogs and stores items placed in evidence. Additionally, this position will schedule for evidence viewing, maintain records of all evidence items and their viewing, and final disposition/disposal.

A High School Diploma or GED is required, as well as over six months of general office support experience. The town offers a generous benefit package and competitive wages. This position is a non-exempt position with a salary range of $50,417 – 70,583 annually depending on qualifications. Position will remain opened until filled.

Ordinance Officer

The Town of Carbondale is accepting applications for our Parks Department temporary/seasonal positions. Position performs maintenance duties on Town parks, athletic fields, open spaces and public facilities such as mowing grass, landscape maintenance and general maintenance duties.  A valid Colorado driver’s license is required.
