Temporary /Seasonal Parks Maintenance Positions
The Town of Carbondale is accepting applications for our Parks Department temporary/seasonal positions. Position performs maintenance duties on Town parks, athletic fields, open spaces and public facilities such as mowing grass, landscape maintenance and general maintenance duties.
A valid Colorado driver’s license is required. Physical exam, pre-employment and substance abuse testing will be required. Work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Starting pay will be $17.00 /hour depending on qualifications.

Streets Maintenance Job Description
Public Landscape Technician - Public Works:
Performs a variety of semi-skilled manual labor duties that include maintenance on public gardens, native areas, Highway 133 corridor and public rights-of-way. Light equipment operation is a requirement of this position.
Pay for the position is $18.80/hr with health insurance benefits, vacation and sick time. A pre-employment integrity test, physical exam and drug/alcohol screening is done prior to hiring. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with snow removal from sidewalks, bulb-outs and other public areas downtown.

Job Description for Landscape Technician
This position performs semi-skilled manual labor duties to facilitate the operations of a water/wastewater plant and related systems.
Must have a high school diploma or equivelant. A valid Colorado Driver's license, a basic knowledge of basic math and geometry, basic building, grounds and vehiclce maintenance.
