Carbondale narrows town manager search to three finalists

The public is invited to meet the candidates on Wednesday, October 20 

 Carbondale, CO – The Town of Carbondale Board of Trustees met in executive session on October 12 during a regularly scheduled board meeting to narrow down the final candidates for the open town manager position.  In August 2021, the Town of Carbondale engaged Columbia ltd, a national recruitment firm with expertise in municipal government placement, to lead the search. Applications were received from 35 candidates. "We are very pleased to announce the town manager finalists and encourage the community to attend next week's Meet & Greet event where the public will get a chance to meet the finalists in person," said Dan Richardson, Mayor of the Town of Carbondale.

 Finalists (listed in alphabetical order)

 Jeff Durbin: Jeff Durbin most recently served as the Town Manager for the Town of Fraser, Colorado, and on an interim basis for the Town of Frisco, Colorado.

 Jennifer Phillips: Jennifer Phillips most recently served as the City Manager for the City of Bothell, Washington.

 Kara Silbernagel: Kara Silbernagel currently serves as the Assistant to the County Manager in Pitkin County, Colorado.

 Community Meet & Greet

Everyone is invited to attend a community Meet & Greet with the Town of Carbondale town manager candidate finalists on Wednesday, October 20, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Calaway Room at the Third Street Center. Light refreshments will be provided. Each candidate will introduce themselves to the audience briefly, and a free-form question-and-answer period will follow.
