TOWN OF CARBONDALE HELPS RESIDENTS SAVE MONEY AND ENERGY AT HOME

50% Off Smart Thermostats and Package Deals on Installation

September 28, 2016 (Carbondale, CO) — Hey Colorado, did you know that heating accounts for 54% of your home’s total energy consumption?* The Town of Carbondale wants to help you turn that statistic around with an energy-saving smart device for your home that increases savings, comfort, and convenience. The Town is offering residents 50% off smart thermostats and discounts on installation now through the end of the year.

“Smart thermostats are like iPhones for your home that use sensors to learn your preferences and schedule, and automatically adjust the temperature to the most comfortable and efficient setting,” said Jay Harrington, Manager, Town of Carbondale. “The beauty is that the thermostat does the work for you.”

Through a public-private partnership, Carbondale is making it possible for residents to install a smart thermostat for half-off the retail price. For $125 after rebates (or $195 for a package that includes professional installation and a heating tune-up), participants may choose from Nest Learning Thermostat, Ecobee, or Honeywell Lyric, each valued at $250.

Campaign partners include: Energy Smart Colorado, CORE, CLEER, Garfield Clean Energy, Ajax Mechanical Services and Climate Control Company.
