The Administration Department includes the offices of the Town Manager and Town Clerk, which manage overall Town administration.

The Building Department ensures construction efficiency and code compliance within Carbondale Town limits, and provides a variety of licenses and resources for building projects.

The Town Finance Department is responsible for financial records management and oversight of fiscal procedural operations.

Carbondale Municipal Court provides a public forum for the resolution of traffic violation, criminal misdemeanor, and Town Ordinances.

The Planning Department provides services related to land use activities including planning, zoning, community housing, and Historic Preservation. 

The Police Department is committed to providing the highest level of public safety with fairness, consideration and cooperation with our community. Police coverage is provided seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Public Works is comprised of vehicle fleets, parks, cemeteries, urban forestry, and the streets department.   

The Utilities Department consists of water, wastewater, ditch management, and in conjunction with the Finance Department, utility billing services.  

Carbondale Recreation Department offers year-round activities for citizens of all ages and diverse interests including: special events, programs, concerts, bus trips, educational courses, and sports. 

Carbondale Fire-EMS-Rescueserves communities within Carbondale and the Rural Fire Protection District, creating a safer environment through the provision of quality emergency services, public education, and prevention programs. Carbondale Fire-EMS-Rescue consists of a volunteer force supported by paid Town staff.
